Lady Tina Leder's video: Curb Your Minimalism I Became Non-Minimalist And It Changed Everything

Minimalism caused me to go into credit card debt, have repeated failed relationships, and become depressed and unfulfilled in life. In early 2020, I decided to be anti-minimalist and accumulate stuff, and everything changed for me. I started to care about my things that lead to me to care about my career, money, and relationships in life. The over glamorization of minimalism has lost all touch with (what I believe) the REAL intention behind what the documentary Minimalism and the new Netflix follow up (I recorded this before the release of that as reference) The Minimalists Less Is Now. Let me be clear, this isn't anything against minimalism, but where "influencers" and the main stream has taken this beautiful original concept into something counter productive and just as toxic as overtly accumulating things. This is my personal experience with minimalism (before it was called minimalism) that I know won't apply to most people, but I also know SO MANY people out there like me, who is scared to death of things and stuff (largely due to commitment issues that need to be dealt with). Living in fear is no life at all and I want to encourage those deathly scared of things, that it's okay, it's normal, and there's a light of the end of the tunnel. Any extremes are bad, so let's find a healthy balance between the world of hoarding and minimalism.
