Lakeland College has partnered with Top Grade Ag and Alberta Innovates to showcase a grain storage and management system that will help farmers be more proactive with on farm grain drying. The Top Grade Ag bin instrumentation and online dashboard convert any aeration bin into a built for purpose grain dryer. Providing access to low cost on farm grain drying facilitates earlier grain drying and conditioning to preserve quality. The system will also serve as an on farm laboratory allowing farmers and students to learn how ambient conditions, supplemental heat and air flow rates impact real time water removal from each bin.
