This acreage sits in between the County State Fish and Wildlife Areas of Woodford and Marshall County, just east of Chillicothe, IL. There are a good number of well-managed duck clubs in the area, which helps hold a lot of birds around this property. There are approximately 100 floodable acres on this farm with a pumping location fed directly by the Illinois River. Several screw fate setups in the impoundment areas allow for water management and, if opened at the proper time (river stages), can eliminate the need for pumping much of the wetlands. The levee system makes it highly likely to get roughly 20 acres of corn planted each year, and a combination of millet and natural feed will ensure that you can hold ducks all season long.
