Larry M Musgrave's video: Kawasaki Mule Pro DX vs Kubota X1100C part 1

This video is the initial explanation as to why I diverted from the awesome Kubota X1100C to the equally awesome Kawasaki Mule DX EPS. Both feature Japanese 3 cylinder diesel engines if the very highest quality. Both offer power steering. Both offer hydraulic power bed lift cylinders, although an optional add on to the Mule Pro ($999). Both offer large beds, although the Mule Pro DX and FX long bed being 54" x 53" is the largest in this segment side from the underdog, the Intimidator Truck 250. Both offer a turf mode open rear differential with differential lock, but the Kubota has a standard front limited slip differential while the Mule Pro has a standard open center front differential with no lock or limited slip ability. The Mule Pro has an optional ($800) Curtis under hood hot water heating system with upper defrost and lower heater outlets, the Kubota X1100C has standard hear and AC. The Kubota factory hard cab is second to none. Period. End of story. It is tight and right. Can Am has a very nice factory hard cab as well, but it is very plastic and cheap looking and feeling compared to the very commercial grade feeling of the Kubota. Polaris has the Northstar, an insanely overpriced machine in the market that is right around $26,000 base, as money as you option it up! Don't forget to order your extra Polaris belts to carry on with you. The Kawasaki Mule Pro ride quality is phenomenal, top of it's class, leading the segment. It's top speed is 30 mph, while the Kubota is 20 mph. At the end of the day, you have to decide what you value the highest, and for me it's bed size and people capacity in an affordable and reasonably sized package. The Kawasaki Mule Pro DX won the day, but trust me.... I have spent hours studying, sweating and going back and forth over choosing. Call it.... 6 of one, half dozen of the other. Not an easy call to make, and one that I'm still uncertain of.
