The hospital stay finally ends for Bill as he continues on with his Basic Training at Camp Robinson, and get a look into what went on during the summer of 1943. This episode contains letters (written May - August 1943) written by Bill (my grandfather) about his time in basic training at Camp Robinson. *This series is about the letters my grandfather wrote home to his family while he was away at college, Basic Training, and eventually overseas during World War II. There are also pictures that he took during that time as well. I wanted to document and preserve his story as told by through these letters and also include things such as music, films, events, or significant news from the specific date in which each letter takes place and from such a historical and important time. **Any added stories, facts, archival footage, etc. is gathered through many hours of research across the internet, documentaries, films, and books on the subject of WW2. I only claim to own the letters and pictures of my grandfathers and family.
