"Je vous parle du fond de mon cœur, a-t-il lancé à la foule réunie dans Hyde Park. Je ne sais pas si j'aurais une carrière après ça, mais tant pis. C'est tellement essentiel. J'ai besoin que vous compreniez à quel point c'est douloureux de se voir rappelé chaque jour que sa race n'a aucune valeur." Suite à cette prise de parole, John Boyega a reçu de nombreux messages de soutien sur les réseaux sociaux, notamment du compte Twitter officiel de Star Wars.
