I’m Leandro Garcia I'm going to show you how you can repair 0:00:05.080,0:00:09.649 your headphones. We are going to see within each of them 0:00:09.649,0:00:13.549 we are going to check its resistance with a multimeter 0:00:13.549,0:00:17.650 we are going to solder the wires 0:00:17.650,0:00:21.199 and finally we are going to isolate it 0:00:21.199,0:00:23.779 we are going to do it in five steps 0:00:23.779,0:00:27.329 we are going to use these tools. 0:00:27.329,0:00:32.620 Let's do it 0:00:32.620,0:00:37.550 We start checking the resistance of the speakers, it must be about 0:00:37.550,0:00:40.220 30 or 40 ohms 0:00:40.220,0:00:44.460 we see that one of them does not have continuity 0:00:44.460,0:00:48.270 we may think that the breakdown is inside because the wire 0:00:48.270,0:00:49.340 might have been unsoldered 0:00:49.340,0:00:53.640 We open the headphone 0:00:54.940,0:00:56.520 and we check that the wires are ok 0:00:56.530,0:01:00.899 therefore, we assume that the breakdown is not 0:01:00.899,0:01:04.460 inside the headphone. 0:01:04.460,0:01:07.380 we see that we have a bad connection 0:01:07.380,0:01:11.340 It will be here where the breakdown is 0:01:11.340,0:01:16.680 Second step. We are going to get the wire right, 0:01:16.680,0:01:23.000 In order to do that, we cut 0:01:23.000,0:01:29.320 and peel the connector’s end, We notice that there are three wires 0:01:29.320,0:01:32.100 We peel the wire on the headphone edge 0:01:32.100,0:01:38.640 we can see that there are two wires 0:01:38.640,0:01:42.640 The other headphone’s wire 0:01:46.400,0:01:58.680 as the cable is enameled, we must remove it with a cutter 0:02:03.160,0:02:04.400 with a lighter 0:02:04.400,0:02:06.560 we burn it to remove 0:02:06.560,0:02:08.099 the residue 0:02:08.099,0:02:10.549 that remains 0:02:10.549,0:02:15.319 we have just ready the wires coming from the headphones, 0:02:15.319,0:02:19.499 We get them together in the earths 0:02:19.499,0:02:24.269 and we must weld it with the wire from the connector, taking into account the 0:02:24.269,0:02:29.369 green and red colours and the earth. 0:02:29.369,0:02:31.099 let´s go to step three 0:02:31.099,0:02:34.649 Welding the wires. We prepare the wires 0:02:34.649,0:02:36.519 tinning the ends 0:02:36.519,0:02:42.829 We try not to leave any drop in the wire 0:02:42.829,0:02:47.699 We do the same with the other end of the wire from the connector 0:02:47.699,0:02:54.839 but this time we are going to let a drop of tin 0:02:54.839,0:02:59.749 we are going to use heat shrink tubing to get a perfect isolation 0:02:59.749,0:03:07.109 for both individual wires, as for the group 0:03:07.109,0:03:08.419 we put the 0:03:08.419,0:03:12.619 thick heat shrink tubing first 0:03:12.619,0:03:16.499 and then each individual tube 0:03:16.499,0:03:18.399 let´s weld 0:03:18.399,0:03:22.879 we see that we have to match each colour 0:03:22.879,0:03:26.829 and the earth with the earth 0:03:26.829,0:03:29.519 we must apply very little heat 0:03:29.519,0:03:34.019 so that the resin containing in the tin does not disappear 0:03:34.019,0:03:39.329 and we heat it with a lighter 0:03:39.329,0:03:43.309 before continuing with the process we are going to ensure that we have the 0:03:43.309,0:03:48.229 required resistance of about 30 or 40 ohms 0:03:48.229,0:03:51.739 indeed we have it in both headphones 0:03:51.739,0:03:52.979 Therefore 0:03:52.979,0:03:55.659 in the fourth step, we are going to isolate 0:03:55.659,0:04:04.729 the connection completely. We use a silicone gun to do it. 0:04:04.729,0:04:11.059 both on one side as on the other side 0:04:11.059,0:04:15.579 We place the heat shrink tubing 0:04:15.579,0:04:18.289 we apply heat
