Learn Twi with Efia BAE's video: Ebony is gone : Life is Short Twi Talks 2 Efia BAE

Hi there, I am back with another video in which I share my reaction and thoughts that came to mind after hearing about the tragic incident that happened on February 8th, 2018. Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, who's stage name is Ebony was involved in a car accident that took her life and the lives of those who were with her in the car. She was an Afrobeat dancehall artist from Ghana. She decided to put her education on hold in order to pursue her passion for music. At the age of 20, she had already won several music awards such as the Artiste of the Year Award, Favorite Female Musician Award and the Best Dancehall Video for her song "Dance Floor". Ebony was scheduled to tour around Europe and promote her album "Bonyfied" in February 2018 (with a show planned in Belgium for the 10th of February ). Unfortunately, She passed away a few days before her 21st birthday due to a car accident. Through this video I would like to bring awareness to the dangers of careless driving and driving under the influence. May this be a lesson to all of us. A lesson in which we can decide to be vigilant on the road and dare to live our lives to the fullest because life is short. This is my contribution to the tribute to Ebony. May her soul rest in perfect peace and my condolences to her family and the people who were close to her and knew her personally. My condolences also go to the families of the people who were with her in the car and passed away (Francisca Nkansah Kuri aka Franky Kuri and Lance Corporal Vondee Francis Atsu). HUGE DISCLAIMER: Please note, that I am not saying that careless driving or DUI was the cause of this accident as we do not know the facts resounding this incident yet. The thoughts expressed in this video where simply thoughts that came to my mind when I heard Ebony passed away. So even if careless driving isn't the cause of her accident, we can still use this opportunity to remind ourselves and others of the importance of being safe on the road. And I would like to add something I forgot to mention in the video, and that is the importance of improving the roads (safety and maintenance) would be very helpful as well in preventing such incidents from happening as often as they do.
