Lee Calladine's video: Supplementary Foods Treat Your Koi

@Supplementary Foods Treat Your Koi
Supplementary Foods. Hi its Lee from the Japanese Water Gardens. In this super quick video I am going to explain about some of the supplementary dried foods you can purchase to improve, enrich and varrie your fishes diet. First up we have Shrimps, high in keratin a protein that is wonderful for the skin and full of vitamins they helps to develop the Koi’s colour. Shrimps are widely available and inexpensive. Mealworms are also very popular. They are high in proteins, vitamins and edible oils. They make a great addition to your and fishes diet. Also available in live form for total freshness. Silkworm pupa. A tasty treat for your fish that contains a tremendous of amount natural proteins ideal for supercharging the growth of your fish. Also they are great for hand encouraging feeding from the hand. Silkworm pupa should be soaked in warm water to aid digestion. I recommend combining the shrimps and mealworms with your existing stock of pellet or stick food. Mix the food together and allow the aromas and flavours to blend together. I believe that by doing this it ensures that the fish don’t develop a preference for one particular supplement and become reluctant to feed on the pellets or sticks. I hope you found this video of interest and will subscribe to the channel. Post any questions in the comments below. Its bye for now from Lee at the Japanese Water Gardens.
