Lee Witten's video: Harris Film 055

Harris visited his favorite rail spotting area, the Rio Grande Main line through eastern Utah on October 31, 1974. In the first part of this film, he chases the morning Rio Grande Zephyr as it leaves the Provo area and makes its way to Helper Utah. On this Halloween October day the Denver bound Zephyr is pulling the Rio Grande business car on the end. In the second part of the film, Harris picks up a UP coal drag with empties out of Helper and chases it to Sunnyside, Utah to pick up a load of coal at the Sunnyside Coal Mine at the mouth of Whitmore Canyon. Harris captures the whole operation backing into the coal chute tunnel from the wye and leaving with a full load westward.
