The game was a lot more exciting than it should've been! The Rush dominated the entire game, but were never able to quite get that finishing blow. With a two touchdown lead in the fourth quarter, it seemed over after a Rush interception with 1:30 left, but on the first play, WR Marco Thomas severely twisted his knee resulting in a fumble and later a touchdown by the Rattlers. They went for an onside kick and succeeded and needed to get stopped twice in a row inside the 10 yard line in order for the Rush to hold on to clinch a playoff berth for their 9th consecutive season (every year of existence).
