The Fochabers bypass, a long time coming, was opened on 31 January 2012. Built by Morrison Construction it was several weeks ahead of schedule and completed without major disruption. Fochabers bypass action group, chaired by Hamish Moir, led a considered and persistent campaign for a solution to Fochabers' traffic problems.
