They say the C64 cant do fast 3D driving games, but time after time there are exceptions which prove them all wrong. This is a masterful conversion, and one which truly reaches beyond the normal capabilities of the humble breadbox. When it came up in the L64 SuperLeague in April 2015, I jumped at the chance to join in. The game was recorded using my old Camtasia software, which needed to be converted to .MP4 to work. The colours I had set up in those days is a bit bland, but I guess this also depends on your TV. I came back to this in December 2015, and again over the next few years, editing down the races I had recorded. I think there are 25 tracks, of which I did most of them. I kept pushing the date back for release as I couldnt bring myself to go back to the review. But I thought I'd make a special effort this year to clear out most of the old footage I had recorded, and get those out of the way. Powerdrift is one of the better racers on the C64, but by no means the best. It still has some high speed action, and fast cornering, and in its day it seems a flagship of conversions, when all the other conversions of this game seemed awful. I'd say its still worth 7/10.
