Leon and Tash's video: HA GIANG LOOP VIETNAM - Not Easy Getting There

We made an early morning start for our ride to the Ha Giang Loop Vietnam. Leaving from Cao Bang and heading to Meo Vac, Google gave us two route options and so we chose the one we thought would be more scenic...what a mistake that turned out to be! We ended up on a mess of an unsealed road and took over quarter of an hour to cover only 4 kilometres, or 2.5 miles, before accidentally dropping the bike :( We knew riding in Vietnam was going to present some challenges, but at that point we decided to turn around and head back to the main road, to follow the alternate route. We had assumed this second route would be nothing but dull and full of traffic, due to it being main roads. We were so wrong. The ride was a real adventure, there was still a fair amount of traffic and the roads were not at all great, but the scenery was absolutely astonishing. The days can be long and taxing, riding a bike in Vietnam and this one certainly tested our concentration, but it was so definitely worth it.
