Leonesaurus's video: Pokemon: Omega Ruby - Shiny Charm Obtained

------------------- Backstory: ------------------- This is an old video I had saved and never got around to uploading of me finally completing the National Dex in Omega Ruby. I've never done this prior to this game and this was motivated by me returning to Pokemon after so many years. Pokemon GO got me hooked on Pokemon again since Ruby came out back when I was in Middle School. After GO got me hooked, I played through Sun and loved it. I wanted more Pokemon so I then picked up Omega Ruby. I chose Omega Ruby because Ruby on the Game Boy Advance was my last major mainline Pokemon experience until I lost it along with my GBA. I don't even remember what happened but I no longer have them. I fell off the Pokemon wagon at that point and never got back on until Pokemon GO reeled me back in. Since this video, I've played through Pokemon Ultra Moon and recently started playing Pokemon Y. I also still play Pokemon GO whenever I can. I eagerly await Pokemon on the Nintendo Switch, which will be the reason I finally pick one up. --------------------------------------- Shiny Pokemon Owned: --------------------------------------- These are the Pokemon I've obtained since I came back to the series. I may be leaving some out if I don't remember some. - Shiny Goldeen (First Shiny Encounter - Not counting the Red Gyarados from Gold & Silver from when I was a kid) - Shiny Charmander (My favorite shiny evolutionary line of them all; Shiny Charizard was my ultimate goal. I used the egg trick breeding method in Sun/Ultra Moon to swap Magikarp eggs and resetting them with Charmander's to get a perfect IV Modest Shiny Charizard Y for Double Battles at the Battle Tree. So happy with him!) - Shiny Aron (Horde Encounter) - Shiny Raltz (Encountered by dumb luck; Used Master Ball) - Shiny Doduo(One of my favorite Pokemon, along with Dodrio) - Shiny Noctowl (Shiny exploit in Gold 3DS Virtual Console) - Shiny Fearow (Walked into by accident when going to EXP chain Chansey and Blissey in Ultra Moon) - Shiny Swablu (Horde Encounter) - Shiny Shuppet (Horde Encounter) - Shiny Wailmer (Caught with Rod Chaining) - Shiny Zigzagoon (Caught this one when hunting for something else) - Shiny Totodile (Shiny exploit in Gold 3DS Virtual Console) - Shiny Chikorita (Shiny exploit in Gold 3DS Virtual Console) - Shiny Ditto (Obtained from a friend via trade in Sun; most likely hacked) - Shiny Magikarp (Caught with Rod Chaining) - Shiny Nidoran Male (Shiny exploit in Gold 3DS Virtual Console) - Shiny Chansey (Obtained by dumb luck in Ultra Moon when EXP chaining on Chansey and Blissey) -------------------------------- Shiny Legendaries: -------------------------------- This I pretty much either got lucky and obtained via GTS or used the Gold 3DS Virtual Console Shiny Exploit to obtain and then port over into Ultra Moon. - Shiny Mewtwo - Shiny Mew - Shiny Moltres (Shiny Articuno and Zapdos are lame, so I didn't bother with them) - Shiny Ho-oh - Shiny Lugia - Shiny Raikou - Shiny Entei - Shiny Suicune - Shiny Silvally (This one I actually obtained legitimately from the limited run Gamestop codes they gave out for a sort time awhile back) ----------------------------------- Pokemon GO Shinies: ----------------------------------- - Shiny Magikarp (Wild Encounter) - Shiny Pichu (Egg Hatch) - Shiny Meditite (Wild Encounter - Fighting-Type Event) - Shiny Swablu (Wild Encounter) The other shinies I'm missing I either didn't play during those events or haven't obtained yet. ------------------------------ Closing Thoughts ------------------------------ I guess that's it for now.
