The BEST Dumplings for Dogs | Homemade Chinese Dumpling Recipe DIY DOG TREATS In today's video, my dog Leo and I will show you a delicious, easy, homemade recipe for making Chinese dumplings (aka jiao zi). The deliciousness of the these homemade dumplings depends on your filling and the thickness of your dumpling (jiao zi) skin! The homemade Chinese dumpling recipe my dog Leo and I are showing you today is made with only a few, simple and easily accessible ingredients - all of which are dog-friendly! This Chinese dumpling recipe is so easy to make, and tastes so delicious and succulent! Below is the full recipe; I do not have exact measurements for each ingredient because these Chinese dumpling fillings can be easily adjusted to fit your dog's own liking! Feel free to add more or less of each ingredient (or even change up the ingredients entirely!) to your own personal preference :) Chinese Dumpling Filling: Ground pork (can also substitute for ground beef, chicken, turkey, etc) Shiitake mushrooms, chopped finely Carrots, chopped finely Cabbage, chopped finely Shrimp, small chunks Egg (use one or more depending on how much filling you make) Dumpling Wrapper: (I doubled the recipe in the video because I made some for Leo and some for myself!) 300 grams all purpose flour 160 grams water Steps: 1. In mixing bowl, combine all the dumpling filling ingredients (except the egg) together and mix well. 2. Crack in an egg to bind all the ingredients together. Set aside. 3. In large bowl, add flour. 4. Gradually add water into flour and mix until a clumpy dough is formed. 5. Place onto surface and knead until dough ball is smooth. If dough gets to hard to knead, let it rest for a few minutes and keep knead. 6. Place smooth dough into bowl with plastic wrap, let it rest for 15-30 minutes. This will allow it to soften and be easier to work with. 7. Cut dough into smaller pieces and pass through pasta roller until it reaches the desired thickness. I like mine thin! 8. Form dumplings. 9. Cook and enjoy! 10. Any leftovers can be frozen for several months.
