Today, we take it back. The Commander sends in a squad of two grenadiers, a ranger, and a rookie to take back Haven and rescue as many civilians as they can. Will things go to plan? Watch and find out. ****SPOLERS**** We get shafted with the spawn, as there is a Sectoid and a Stun Lancer literally two feet from our first move. Lucky for us, revealed them in our first move and had plenty of shots left to take care of them before they dealt and significant damage. The Commander splits the squad, sending the Jack the Ranger and the Rookie down and to the right to free the first civilian. They hear more in the building to the right, and move up to a position that will allow them to rescue them in the next turn. Elise and Erica the Grenadiers move up the left, freeing two more civilians from the clutches of ADVENT. They set up a nice overwatch position when the detect a pod of two Stun Lancers and a Sectoid behind a resistance trailer. The rookie takes a few hits when she lingers in front of an open window, but manages to free two more Civilians before she is forced to take cover. Jack takes both out with the help of his trusty shotgun and a grenade thrown by the Rookie. After some grenade chucking and sightline management by the grenadiers, and some timely backup by the rookie and Jack, something else decides to show itself. One of the civilians seemingly sheds his skins and becomes a huge, hideous monster called a faceless. It seems as though ADVENT has the technology to hide in plain sight now. The soldiers, although scared of this new development, focus and put the beast down. It had a close call with Erica the Grenadier, but she managed to get out of its way in time and do a huge amount of damage on the run. Remember, if you like what you see - Subscribe!
