There is nothing that could limit Abby’s ever-growing curiosity, especially for animals. Owing to Abby’s inquisitive nature, we pay a lot of visits to the zoo. At the zoo, Abby quenches her thirst for adding more information to her knowledge pool about animals. Abby’s fascination with animals and zoos exposes her to the plethora of species that inhibit the earth besides humans. There are a lot of benefits of taking your children to the zoo. Some of the advantages of taking Abby to the zoo are: • Living in an urban town, Abby does not get the chance to come across wildlife on a regular basis. All the other children living in urban and suburban areas also have the same experience. In order to bring the present generation closer to nature, zoos provide a good opportunity. Within the bounds of a zoo, Abby can learn about other species of the animal kingdom. • The way a zoo operates teaches children how different species belonging to the kingdom of animals are interconnected. We live in an ecosystem where the harmony between all the inhabitants of the earth is necessary to ensure smooth operation of our planet. Guides and zoo-keepers can enlighten Abby and other children about various ecological niches and food webs to make them familiar with how ecosystems operate. • Zoos help in the conservation of species that might be endangered by allowing them to breed in a secure environment. Abby learns a lot about the species that are at the verge of being extinct every time she visits the zoo and can appreciate the roles zoos play in saving rare species from being lost forever. Many of the zoos include mammals, amphibians, reptiles and other species that hail from the largest kingdom, the Kingdom Animalia. In conventional zoos, these animals would be enclosed in large metal gaols to be met by the visitors in a very unnatural aura. However, the zoos these days understand the importance of natural habitat and how crucial it is to the survival of species. The zoo Abby visits offers animals the utmost comfort. The corrals for each species are very much similar to the original setting of the species’ natural home in the wild jungles, so that they do not feel distressed or away from home. Also, the zookeepers take very good care of the animals. They feed them on time and also groom them. Medical facilities are made available 24/7 so that none of the animals falls sick. Abby feeds small goats and monkeys every time she goes to the zoo. She can just not help but pet the friendlier animals on every visit.
