Life In Another Town's video: Harvesting our first crop of grown in the bag potatoes - Maris Peer variety Autumn crop

@Harvesting our first crop of grown in the bag potatoes - Maris Peer variety. Autumn crop.
This is our first attempt at growing potatoes. We share a communal back garden with our neighbours. In mid-July, my wife Heather and I put out three felt potato grow bags. We planted in compost 9 or 10 seed potatoes of the Maris Peer variety, about three plants per bag. Tonight, we harvested the first of the three bags. The plants in this bag had their leaves attacked by pests. The slugs kept trying to get into the bag. We fed the plants with potato compost and regularly watered the potato plants with the rainwater captured in our water butt. We installed a 100 litre water butt to capture rainwater from the roof of the adjacent apartment block to ours. The dry spell in August meant we very nearly ran out of water from the butt; it was almost empty but not quite, by the the night it rained and refilled after the dry spell. We considered this bag to have the weakest looking plant stems and leaves. It didn't have the optimal sun position compared to the other two bags, and the insect pests feasted on the leaves. We've harvested 46 potatoes from this first bag They weighed 1.3lbs or 3kg. The Maris Peer potato variety produces a smallish, salad potato which is suitable for boiling. I think we might have waited another week but the planting calendar estimated this is the week to harvest. We'll harvest the potatoes from the other two bags over the weekend. Heather and I have really enjoyed tending to the plants, waiting nervously for the first green shoots, topping up the soil, watering and feeding the plants. We are so chuffed to harvest our first crop of homegrown potatoes. Thank you for watching our video.
