Life In Another Town's video: Jackdaw birds in our garden - bird watching with a wildlife camera

@Jackdaw birds in our garden - bird watching with a wildlife camera
While my wife and get a lot of pleasure from looking out of the bedroom window to watch the birds in the garden, the wildlife camera set up in the flower bed captures great closeups of our feathered friends. In this video, it's the Jackdaw who is centre stage. It's not easy to stand out among the pretty ducks, boisterous starlings, or cooing doves and pigeons. However, the Jackdaws have their own, unique personality. Currently, we have four Jackdaws who visit the garden, attracted by the fresh water and bird seed put out each day. According to the RSPB, the scientific name for the Jackdaw is "Corvus monedula". The RSPB website says that "This is a small, black crow with a distinctive silvery sheen to the back of its head. The pale eyes are also noticeable. The jackdaw call is a familiar hard 'tchack' from which it gets its name. It will commonly nest in chimneys, buildings, rock crevices and tree holes...it eats insects, young birds and eggs, fruit, seeds and scraps."
