A visit to Pelling Skywalk and Chenrezig Statue complex at Sangachoeling, Pelling, Sikkim.The Pelling Skywalk is India's first glass-bottom Skywalk. It is the connecting bridge for the giant Chenrezig statue which is located on a hilltop and depicts the compassion of Lord Buddha. Pelling Skywalk is nestled at an altitude of 7,200 feet above the sea level along with the fourth tallest statue of Chenrezig at 137 ft. The Skywalk was inaugurated in November 2018 and since then it has flourished to become one of the famous tourist attractions in India. In this Video we visit this popular tourist destination of Pelling, and take a walk on the glass bottom elevated walkway or the sky walk which is the first of its kind in India. The ticket price for the pelling sky walk is INR 20 for locals and INR 50 for others. The walk on the glass bridge is an amazing experience as it feels like you are walking on the air. After a walk on the glass bridge and a review of the current condition of the skywalk we go on to visit the Chenrezig statue complex next to the Skywalk. On the way we find a lot of prayer wheels of different sizes and get to hear prayer music including Om mani pae mey hun being played in the compound.
