Best Shopping at Lal Bazar and MG Market in Gangtok, Sikkim. Lal Bazar and MG Market are the biggest shopping area in Gangtok town. In this video we explore both MG market and Laal Bazaar on foot and do some cheap shopping of souvenirs and organic products of Sikkim. We start from the Lal Bazar bus stand and walk to the Gangtok organic market via the foot over bridge at Lal Bazar. Then we head to MG Market which is situated on both side of the stairs from MG Marg to Denzong inn and Cinema at Lal Bazar. It is a Tourist market and there a re a lot of winter wear, accessories and souvenir shops. But the prices out here are a bit high, and you have to bargain to get a good price. Next we went to Kanchanjungha shopping plaza at Lal bazar. This is a huge , multi storied market complex, where you will find almost all kinds of household goods, fresh organic vegetables, groceries, clothing, winter wear, jackets, footwear, shoes and accessories. also the GANGTOK EXPO is situated on the roof of Kanchanjungha shopping complex. We also got nice views of Gangtok town from the roof. In fact a visit to the roof of Kanchanjungha shopping plaza during the afternoon and evening is a must do if you visit Gangtok. The views are amazing. And also there is an interesting thing, many boys practice skateboarding on the roof of the Kanchanjungha shopping plaza. We saw some kids doing stunts on the skateboard there.
