African threading with thread isn't for everyone and there are some issues when doing it. If you don't or can't find the stretched thread you can diy at home with something I bet you have. The issues for me with normal thread where a few. One: The thread would always move if I didn't put it as close to my scalp as possible, this can cause severe breakage because it would often be too tight. Two: dealing with the small thread was really an issue. I got pretty impatient. Three: My Hair Would dry up pretty easily. With that said it was the best none heat stretching method for my hair. I like to stretch my hair on wash day and leave it in for minimum one day. If I can I will leave it in all week and just grease my ends because this has helped me a lot with my fairy knots. I have stoppad styling my hair everyday and I'm back to low manipulation styles to avoid the knots in my hair. When I'm ready to style my hair for the day I take them out. 1. Use any kind of stretchable tights to stretch out your type 4 hair 2. Cut them into long pieces 3. Part out a section and make sure your hair is moisturized. (Use a comb if you want or finger detangle). 4. Use your thumb to hold down the hair and top of the tight and use the other hand to wrap the tights around your hair. 5.
