I looove up cycling my clothes! It’s great for the environment and your wallet
plus, you end up with unique custom pieces that nobody else has. I had this old boring white crop top laying around, that I just never wore, because it’s so plain. And I love my shirts to be fun
So, I decided to give it a funny donut pun, cuz hey, u know me, always up for a good pun! First of all, you can either create the design yourself, or download the same template I used, that is available to download on my blog. You can find the link on the upper right corner, or down in the description box. When printing, make it as big as possible, by making sure you choose the option to fill the whole page. Test it out on your shirt, to make sure it fits. Next up we will need some self-adhesive foil, like the one used to cover books and similar. This can be found rather cheap and is always handy to have at home. To make it easier to work, I cut a piece the size of my cutting board, and secured it to it with some tape. Now secure the template to the foil and start cutting out the letters. Remember Don’t cut out the donut. I mean, you could, but it would be just wasted time. Don’t forget to not throw out those little middle parts of some letters, such as here with the A and R. I ended up cutting off some of the excess foil, since I had such a small shirt. Secure this onto the shirt with a lil bit of tape. This will just help you place the foil correctly, and not moving around. I recommend going by parts, and securing the foil to the shirt like a stencil. Now it’s time to colour the letters with black textile colour. I recommend using a stippling motion, as it will make the colour more opaque and not move the fabric around too much. When you’re done, leave it to dry. Later on, check on it and if it needs another coat of colour or not. Now, in the mean time, let’s work on the donut. Start by cutting it out from the template we just used before. Place it on a piece of beige felt, trace it and then cut it out. Cut out the glaze part, and do the same. Now with some fabric glue, glue both pieces together. Make sure to apply glue around the edges, and secure everything in place. For the sprinkles, I decided to use 3D Pearl Makers, as it gives the whole thing some extra fun. But some fabric paint works just the same! Let the sprinkles dry and if you feel the need, trim the edges of your donut a lil bit. And your cute felt donut is done! Back to finishing the shirt, and removing the stencil. Depending on your fabric paint, you might need to set it to make sure it doesn’t wash out when you wash your clothes. In my case it involved ironing it for 3min under some fabric. *drum roll pleaseee* Now it’s time for everything to come together and create this amazing cool shirtttt. Again, with some fabric glue, glue the donut to your shirt. Make sure you secure all the edges
and doneeee! Pretty awesome, right? -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Have you seen: "HEART FRIENDSHIP BRACELET ♄ BFF Gift Idea! DIY Tutorial for Beginners!" If not, it's time! C'mon on over... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeMMq4hzCt8 -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-
