Limor's video: Dave Fagan legendary rugby strength conditioning coach - in memory thank you

This video has been posted in memory of Big Dave Fagan a man who was massively influential on the life of Limor founder and CEO Shane Monahan as stated below: I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Dave Fagan this week. I was very lucky to spend two years being coached by Dave in the Leinster Rugby sub academy. As my first S&C coach Dave was a massive influence on the foundation’s of my professional rugby career. I am sure that 100s if not 1000s of rugby players can also attest to the massive impact that Dave had on the development of their physicality in the gym and also Dave’s impact on their mental strength and discipline. Mental fortitude being something absolutely essential to make it in the pro game. Dave forged us all on the anvil of the sub academy. His work was a big reason for the success of Leinster rugby and Irish rugby as a whole in recent years, his legacy will leave a lasting impression. Dave was a hard task master, he made us work HARD but at the same time he was fair and always made sure we had fun in the sub academy. It was a positive environment where I made friends for life. Those early lessons learned in the sub academy have always stuck with me, I brought them with me into my entrepreneurial journey and will continue to use them moving forward. Even though I didn’t see Dave for many years after I left Leinster every now and then he would show support by leaving me a comment or sending me a DM on LinkedIn , I always appreciated it. The last time I met with Big Dave was in 2019, he didn’t do many interviews so when he kindly agreed to be a guest on my podcast I was delighted. It was a great conversation. I wanted to share some of it here, it gives a great insight into Daves mindset and also gives a sense of the last of the old school sub academy before they moved into the new gym.
