@Zorin OS 15 Vs Linux Mint 19.1 | Which is the Best Linux Distro?
Zorin OS and Linux Mint are two outstanding Ubuntu-based Linux distros. In this video, we'll see how they compare against each other in terms of performance, speed, stability, user interface, gaming, community support and ease of installation. Which among them is the best? Which among them is more suitable FOR You? Linux Mint or Zorin OS. Let's find out. Install Linux Mint Step-by-step: https://youtu.be/nLGFQjPsojg Install Zorin OS Step-by-step: https://youtu.be/H5-kF37AnFc Zorin OS features the GNOME desktop environment that is extensively customized. The desktop looks very similar to Windows 7 interface by default and this is great for Linux newcomers. Zorin OS is ridiculously easy to use. The windows button or the Zorin icon can be used to invoke the application search and launcher, which is very fast and user-friendly. The apps can be pinned to the panel. The indicators and icons are also conveniently placed. But that's not all, Zorin os has an application called Zorin appearance from which You can completely revamp the way Your computer looks and behaves. You can either go with the streamlined look or this modern GNOME look which I totally dig. The panel hovers slightly above the bottom edge and has intellihide. You can use the super button to open the activities overlay and also search apps from. In this preset, the desktop looks really modern and intuitive. I really loved what Zorin did here. The theming is really good and there is a uniformity throughout all the apps installed on the system. Zorin OS scores top points for user interface. Linux Mint, on the other hand, is famous for its homegrown Cinnamon desktop. Cinnamon has a very huge fan following. And looking at it, it's quite clear why. Cinnamon desktop is highly intuitive, elegant and just so gorgeous to look at. The menu is organized and accessible. . Controlling your computer is really easy. Linux Mint's interface is quite amazing. While the UI have been evolving to be more catchy and feature-rich, Linux Mint's cinnamon is so minimal while not missing out on anything essential. This makes Linux Mint home for a lot of people who just want to get work done on their computers. Now, this doesn't mean Mint desktop is old fashioned or something. The latest Cinnamon is built using GTK+3 so it incorporates the latest GNOME technologies is compatible with all the themes and apps written for GNOME 3. Cinnamon is also highly customizable with a wide range of themes and additional widgets called spices. The effects and animations are there, but not so much that they distract you from your work.
