In the heart of the African wilderness, I witnessed a rare love—a young rhino calf finding solace under the watchful care of its mother, the gentle giant feeding to nurture the next generation.
As a wildlife filmmaker, I've seen the disheartening decline in rhino sightings. It's not just about poaching; it's about the significant costs and risks properties face in the struggle to reintroduce and protect these endangered species.
Maintaining a healthy rhino population demands extensive anti-poaching units and operations. The challenges are immense, and many properties opt not to home these extraordinary creatures due to the scale and intensity of the efforts required.
It's saddening that such extraordinary measures and substantial risks are necessary to safeguard these prehistoric beings.
But here's where you come in. YOU can make an impact by supporting and donating to organizations dedicated to protecting this species. One of my personal favourites is @wildlife_act, a crucial part of my early career in the bush 🐆
Let's join hands to ensure a future where rhinos roam freely. Together, we can make a difference.
