This game holds profound philosophical roots, believed to have been crafted by Jain monks to convey principles of liberation and morality. Symbolic of life's journey, the squares depict concepts of karma and moksha, with ladders representing virtues and snakes embodying vices. As players climb ladders towards heaven and liberation, they encounter snakes plunging them into the cycle of rebirth.
