Living the Dream's video: My First Video: No Buy Year General Rules and No Iron Curls

Hello! Welcome to my channel. We are all living the dream (at least in the U.S.)...some days one nightmare at a time...but we are all living the dream. I have been inspired and motivated by the no buy movement and I am joining the bandwagon of detaching from consumerism. I want to create a demand for eco-friendly products and decrease the demand for environmentally damaging products, such as plastics. How am I going to do this? I am going to be the change that I want to see. I am going to put my green ($) in green (eco-friendly tech) so business are encouraged to change their plans and invest in green technologies. I had a clip in my video where I talked about this but it has disappeared. I will refilm and include it in my next video. I have 6 categories of products I am going to stop buying for the next year: housewares, skin care, makeup, clothes, cleaning supplies, and hair care. I can replace a product when all of the products I own in that category are used up. When I replace that item, I am going to look for it second hand (does not mean I have to buy a used product). If I cannot find it second hand, I am going to look for a substitute that has eco-friendly packaging (no plastic). I have a need for speed and my automobile choices are not eco-friendly in the slightest. I can, however, make changes in other areas of my life that reduce my overall impact on the environment. I love hair care, skin care, and makeup, and will be posting a few "how I do it" videos. I am a registered patent agent and passionate about helping people obtain intellectual property rights through patents, and I will have a few videos on patent basics. Once I become an attorney, I will talk about all IP rights. For now, I am not an attorney and cannot give legal advice about anything.
