The LizyT Show with comedian Jean Paul. Jean Paul has been making international audiences laugh since 1995. T rinidadian-born comedian Jean Paul has always had an innate sense of humour. Maybe it’s because of his curious nature; maybe it’s because of his light-hearted view on life. Whatever the reason, Jean knew at an early age that a career in comedy was right for him. Since then, Jean has travelled extensively across Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean, South Africa and the U.K., performing at such legendary venues as the Apollo in New York, the Comedy Store in London, and at Place des Arts in Montreal’s the Just For Laughs Gala 2013. Jean has also been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the Tim Sims’ Award for up-and-coming comedians, and a Gemini Award for Best Writing in a Comedy Series. He has also proven his talent in on TV and film. He has conquered television as a correspondent on Phat TV, portrayed a wide assortment of characters in the CBC special Thick and Thin, appeared multiple times as a guest on the CBC’s Strombo Show and on CTV’s A Russell Peters Christmas Special.
