As part of our 2020 Vision, John Storgårds has followed the Symphony’s influence down two centuries, and paired it with two works of maverick genius. Simone Lamsma plays Nielsen’s Violin Concerto of 1911 – a bracing counterblast to romantic clichés, composed under clear northern skies.
