Life doesn’t wait! Enjoy it now! (Español abajo) I could die today (pssst, I hope I don’t 🤪) & feel I lived a good life. I’ve had ups and many deep and dark downs. The downs include a 20-year long eating disorder, major depressive disorder, health scares, losing friends and loved ones & being a single mom on welfare at 45 to name a few. The ups, writing and publishing a bunch of books with traditional trade publishers, making a living as a communicator (now a digital content creator), becoming the mother I never had, and meeting the love of my life at 46. My best days aren’t behind me and neither are yours. I know many people younger than me are afraid of reaching the age I am now. Please share this with them. How do you manage to fall in love with life over and over again despite the struggles we all have? For me it’s wearing the fancy dress, saying yes to new adventures, and finding joy even in the dark moments. I keep moving forward and making plans no matter what. Podría morir hoy (psst, espero que no 🤪) y sentir que viví una buena vida. He tenido momentos altos y muchos momentos bajos y oscuros. Los momentos bajos incluyen un trastorno alimentario de 20 años, trastorno depresivo, sustos de salud, perder amigos y ser madre sola con asistencia social a los 45, por nombrar algunos. Los momentos altos, escribir y publicar varios libros con editoriales tradicionales, ganarme la vida como comunicadora (ahora creadora de contenido digital), convertirme en la madre que nunca tuve y encontrar al amor de mi vida a los 46. Mis mejores días no están detrás de mí, y tampoco los tuyos. Sé que muchos más jóvenes que yo temen llegar a la edad que tengo ahora. Por favor, comparte esto con ellos. ¿Cómo logras enamorarte de la vida una y otra vez a pesar de las luchas que todos enfrentamos? Para mí, es ponerme decir sí a nuevas aventuras y encontrar alegría incluso en los momentos oscuros. Sigo adelante y hago planes, sin importar qué. Y ponerme vestidos bonitos. :-)
