Here is Audrey's rehearsal track, synched to the film (in which she was dubbed by Marni Nixon). Making this clip was a real challenge, since I only had Audrey's rehearsal takes, which were not used during filming. First, I cut together two audio takes (done with piano only), to get Audrey's best performance. Then, I made 37 cuts and speed alterations to the video to maintain sync. Finally, I added an orchestral backing track, which needed 18 speed alterations to match Audrey's tempos. Whew! So let the debate begin: should they have dubbed her in this number?
