@A Really Good Day - Emily Harrington and Adrian Ballinger at the 2017 Broken Arrow Sky Race
The Broken Arrow Skyrace is held in Squaw Valley, the site of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games. What is a skyrace you may ask? It’s a niche discipline within ultrarunning focused on running over mountain ranges or, as its founder Marino Giacometti put it, running where the earth meets the sky. The majority of Broken Arrow takes place above 6,000 feet, which makes it the perfect challenge for climbers Emily Harrington and Adrian Ballinger. The 2nd annual Broken Arrow Sky Race, California's first-ever Skyrunning event, was held on June 16-17, 2017 at world-famous Squaw Valley. This promo captures this historic and extreme trail running event, characterized by steep climbs, massive descents, high-alpine exposure, snow, and scrambling.
