We took an awesome excursion to Monkeyland, which a couple dozen Squirrel Monkeys call home. Set on 5 acres in the lush countryside near Punta Cana, the monkeys are well cared for, well fed, and vaccinated. Because of this they have a much longer life expectancy than those in the wild. They don’t escape because they are so happy in their jungle paradise! There are a few rules: Don’t apply sunscreen or bug sprays before entry. Don’t come sick. Persons sick with cold or flu are not allowed to interact with the monkeys. Don’t grab the monkeys. They will come to you. Don't bring in backpacks or purses and remove dangling jewelry. Lockers are provided.
