Lovelygirliebits's video: Planting roses collecting seeds for next year Now is the time to do these jobs

This week I spent a lot of time trying to dig holes in the garden for my three new climbing roses and climbing hydrangea! The footage makes it look so easy, but it took about half an hour to dig each hole, but very rewarding when it was done! I also spent time saving seeds for next year and got so many poppy seeds, cosmos, sweetpeas and I'll be saving more as the pods become ready. Saving seeds is a great way to save money on annuals for next year and you can give some away to family and friends too. I was going to save some of the sunflower seeds, but when I realised how many heads have come off one plant alone, I figured the birds would enjoy them better and I still have lots from the packet I bought this year. The sunflowers I have in the garden are Sunflower Sunburst Mixed seeds and the selection is so beautiful! I've gotten the regular bright yellow, some vibrant orange, even lemon coloured sunflowers. I'll definitely be growing them again next year. Thanks to Leonie Cornelius for gifting the poppy seeds last year as part of a L'Occitane event I attended. The flowers bloomed so beautifully and they're Papaver somniferum 'Hungarian Blue'.
