These are the steps, as seen on the video: Let's imagine I'm going to work on a 2D image smaller than 50x50 px In any open Illustrator file: - Select the "Rectangular grid tool" - Click on the page and Tool Options will open - Default size (50x50px) - Dividers 49x49 (one less than size to get exactly 50x50 little squares) - Unclick "Outside rectangle as grid" and "Fill grid" - Press OK - Select the grid created - make the stroke light grey (toolbar) - weight 0.1 pt. (Window - Stroke - (palette) Weight) - Select the grid - Object - Live Pain - Make - Now you can "Live Paint" with the K If you want to delete the grid: - Select the Live Paint - Object - Expand - Select the Gird - right-click - ungroup - Select the grid layer (now ungrouped from the coloured squares) and delete it Et voilà!
