Today I wanted to talk about the rock wall, which is one of the brands of mineral wall insulation. So if you don't know what mineral wall insulation is, is basically a byproduct of I believe it's steel manufacturing. Learn more at http://www.lushplanet.net/ The slags that can be made a number of different ways, but the most sustainable ones, use that flag and turn it into. Basically, it's like a sponge rock. So they make a rock into a fiber. The cool thing that I like about rock will is that it has a really high recycled content. It's got an art this is this is just a two by four, so three and a half inch cavity, Scott A AR 15 as opposed to in our 13, which is the fiberglass insulation that you normally use. The other thing that's super rad about this stuff, there's a there are a couple more things that super rad about this stuff is that it'll really fit the cavity completely. So a lot of times we'll have difficulty with those regular bat fiberglass insulation to get the cavity real filled up. This stuff works really well the Film Academy especially we have little odd size cavities like this was super weird. That's another reason I like it. Another reason I like it is that it's really good for sound barrier, the sound just hardly passes through this stuff at all. Sounds gonna pass through the word that it would through this stuff. The other thing that's super rad about this is that it's incredibly flame retardant. So you know, the stone doesn't burn. So you can just put a course to this and it will light on fire. So like anything there's pluses and minuses to the life cycle of the environmental impact of the rock roll. But I think if you're using Walkman, Rockwell versus fiberglass, I still think that the rock wall is a better bet. And especially now that they're using a much higher recycled content. And if you can get and make sure that it's the slag byproduct, the rock wall that's absolutely that. So I hope that's helpful.
