SPECIAL APPEAL: If anyone would like to donate a 2 Terabyte hard disk drive or drives as a way of saying thank you for the work I do and to help me keep my library safe from future loss please get in touch. Real Life are a Melbourne-based Australian new wave synthpop band that had hits with their debut single, "Send Me an Angel" (1983) and with "Catch Me I'm Falling" (1983), both of which were featured on the band's debut album Heartland (1983). The band originally consisted of David Sterry (lead vocals and guitar), Richard Zatorski (violin and keyboard), Alan Johnson (bass) and Danny Simcic (drums). Steve Williams (keyboard) replaced Zatorski in 1986, who was then replaced by George Pappas in 1996 after a long hiatus of band activity. Catch Me I'm Falling is a song about living out one's dreams. At the beginning of the video for the song, there is a crowd in darkness with a luminous paint. The band performs the song in a bright room and then it is distributed among the members throughout the studio with some other people. In addition there are movie effects. Info source: http://en.wikipedia.org The first thing that needs to be said is that all available sources for this video are crap quality. Detail in the video (on all sources) is almost non-existent. Out of a bad lot I've chosen the only one that has any detail in it and this video is missing seconds at the start and at the end. It was a capture from a TV show in Australia and they did not play the missing seconds at start or finish, which is a pain in the ass since this is the only decent copy there is. I use the term 'decent' with a grain of salt. The first thing I had to do was invent a start and a finish for the video and replace the missing seconds. I used a bit of creative licence for this and it came out rather well. I've cleaned the video by removing a top layer of fizzy garbage but went no further. The image has such poor detail that to do more would have destroyed the fragile detail that is there. On top of that the video is very blurry and so for a while I wondered if I should just not bother with it. Well there isn't any decent video for this song in existence anywhere, so I guess something is better than nothing. Unless someone can provide me with a better source to work with, then this is the best you are going to get anywhere in the world. I've replaced the audio from another source that was good quality and it now sounds better than the crappy mono sound it used to have. I hope you all enjoy this video upscale. Please share the link with your friends and I hope it doesn't end up being blocked in your country.
