Featured in a very early Touhou game, Ellen is not ZUN's original character, but one borrowed from a doujin colleague's manga, Hatarakimono. She is a little witch who never grows old. She lives for a very long time, but she constantly loses her old memories before she gains new ones, thus always a blank slate. As "the hardworking witch who dreams of love," she is a diligent magic user, though she has a quirk of building up static electricity in her hair whenever she uses it. Between this and her poor memory, you could say her head is fuzzy in more ways than one. This is where she gets her full name, Ellen "Fuwafuwa-atama" Aureus. She has lived through the dark age when magic was accepted as fact, to the science age where magic was rejected as fiction, only to end up in Gensokyo where science and magic are one and the same.
