Lyrica Live's video: Touhou Lyrics September Pumpkin

@【Touhou Lyrics】 September Pumpkin
https://www.patreon.com/lyricalive Ringo's theme, with some backup by Seiran. ...Decided to make this a duet instead of a solo because I enjoyed the chance to frame it in terms of the radio-like communication that moon rabbits can do. Of course, these are the thoughts that lead them to abandon the moon, like almost every other Lunarian who gets a taste of earth does, but this time presented through quirky mochi-related metaphors. MG MG. My partner Lori ( http://lori-hime.tumblr.com ) takes the lead role of Ringo this time, while I'm the voice of Seiran. English lyrics and fandub vocals by me & Lori. Character portraits and background from the official game. Cute little pixels by Lori. --- Eagle One to Eagle Two: The sky is pale and clearest blue. I see the flying fox approaching recklessly behind me. Copy that; you’re loud and clear. It’s just who we expected here. Now do your job and catch her in a perfect bullet storm! Eagle One to Eagle Two: The bird of black is crashing through; The fickle frog has flocked as well, all quick as light to find me. Eagle Two to Eagle One: The Ravi force will get it done. We’ll pound them all like mochi in the perfect lunar form! Eating up and growing fuller, this is how the sky will show it. Leaking out its influence before the people even know it. Darkness takes a bite out of the circle every now and then. The taste is stale; it spits it out; the pieces are restored again. An empire that gives and takes, but nonetheless resists a change. We get the answers, ask no questions; no one thinks to find it strange. The ears are just for show, when we communicate through pure vibration. Why sense through the body when the power is in information? Pound away at sticky buns, and through the night we leave ‘em steaming. Over, over, over as our great eternal light is beaming. Wonder when the folks are going to wake up from the petty dreaming? Wonder if we’re ever going to understand the dream. Eagle One to Eagle Two: The target’s fled, approaching you, While pushing back the time until there’s no more left to borrow. Eagle Two to Eagle One: They’re challenging our perfect run. Those filthy little earthlings are more gutsy than I thought! Eagle Two, now what is this? The traitor who we barely missed? She’s clinging to the land that will be empty by tomorrow. Eagle Two to Eagle One: The game has only just begun. Let’s deal with this by protocol and guarantee she’s taught! Once again reporting back, and standing firmly at attention. Scarlet eyes are watching from beyond the fourth dimension. Now the aim is sharp, the weapon blunt, and just one hit is all it takes. This way of life, or lack thereof, leaves no room over for mistakes. If everything is perfect, then I wonder what to call this feeling. Gravity is low, but we’re restricted by the starry ceiling. Something like a shift of lookout might just sound a bit appealing. Could it be? She had the right idea, it would seem… Eagle Two, it’s so bizarre To see our home from where we are. The phases that they name are getting harder to remember. Waxing, waning, rearranging – They see us as ever-changing, When the fact is they’re the ones who never can be still. Eagle One, you’ll get it soon. Now what they call the “harvest moon” Is round and ripe and orange like a pumpkin in September. Humankind and beasts alike Will take it as the time to strike, But we’re the ones who in the end will surely have our fill! Eating up and growing fuller, raise your cup and view the moon! The hardest part is over, and the bosses are appraising soon. But does it really matter what they say for anybody’s sake? They’re left to take it easy, pay no mind to what’s left in the wake. The capital is now as ever just the place we always knew. A mighty selfish culture tells us where to go and what to do. With all that’s been stuffed down our throats, how much more can we stand to eat? Untainted even by the bitter flavor of a sound defeat. Fed ten servings a day, and never leave a single crumb to waste. Though I’m not sure I ever quite was able to appreciate the taste. This pounding in my head, I think the rhythm’s been misplaced. The calling of a rabbit is to hatch another scheme. Eagle One to Eagle Two: What more is there that we can do? To win or lose means nothing with a fate immune to cheating. Eagle Two to Eagle One: They sure act like they’re having fun, A better time than us on whom the higher orders fall. Closer sides are looking far. We’re stranded on this distant star. The dumplings I’ve been throwing are too cold and hard for eating. Maybe we can make our own, As we’re stuck down here all alone… And start another phase of something better after all.
