M A's video: Mike Arce Hitting This MAJOR Goal For Him And His Dad

One of the coolest experiences of my entire life... As a kid, my dad and I watched every NY Knick game in the 90s. He worked about 18 hours every day, so how that got done was tricky. This is crazy... Fortunately, he worked from home in his workshop in the basement. We had a few couches on the other side of the basement with a TV set up, and my job was to tell him when the game was starting. Then... He’d run over from his bench to the couch, sit at the edge, and watch until a timeout was called or a quarter finished. Then... He’d run back to his bench and work until I called him back over to tell him the game was starting again. He’d run right over and sit at the edge of the couch and watch with me again. The man worked like an animal. We did that for 2 hours, 82 games per season. When we moved to Arizona in 2000, we converted to Suns fans. We’ve been to quite a few games together since then, but... In 2012-2013, I made this vision board of life events I wanted to accomplish. It’s been hanging in my house since then. I’ve nailed a few of those off, but this is one that I was excited to knock off. There are so many things I’ve learned to be better at my work, and most of the time... I just learned something new to get me out of a jam (sales were low, retention was poor, culture was weak, etc.) Along the way... These new skills allowed our company to grow and do some really great things. Not just for me, but for our employees, and even for less fortunate people as we’ve now donated over $100,000 to charity and nearly 1,000 hours of volunteering as a team. This one, though... this was for me and my dad. Thanks for working your ass off my entire life and still finding time to watch basketball games with me, and play basketball with me. PS: I’m not leaving out my mom. She’s another one that worked all her life and contributed to my life in ways we can’t imagine. Her gift is coming soon...
