Birla family started the construction of this temple and Vishwanath temple was built in the year 1966. Vishwanath Temple in BHU Campus is one of the tallest temples in the world. Vishwanath Temple is 250 feet high and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The walls of Vishwanath Temple are of Marble and Bhagavad Gita is inscribed on its walls.
