Hot on the heels of MESSER's 2019 debut album, which spawned three Top 25 singles at Rock radio (a feat that no other completely independent band has achieved in the past 10 years) and highly successful touring season (which saw the band performing to near sell-out crowds for the last half of 2019), the bands producer, Chad Gendason of Maddpants Records, teamed up with the popular music-production site Splice.com for an international contest wherein fans remixed the latest single, "Simple Man." The competition drew hundreds of submissions from more than 30 countries, and their efforts were so impressive that Maddpants Records decided to release 23 of the remixes to showcase the talent of these diverse up-and-coming producers. Gendason worked closely on the final arranging and mixing, and the extraordinary results take the song in wildly different emotional and musical directions.
