This one is just for laughs, folks! The premise is pretty simple. I’ll be taking each G.O.A.T candidate at their prime level and pitting them in an imaginary matchup against the current champion of the division in their modern form. I’ll fire out a solid prediction at the end of each section - while inviting you guys to do the same in the comments section. And I’ll point out, given the progression of the sport in recent years, the quality of athlete and the overall evolution of the game from a foundational level, just because I’m some cases I would pick the modern fighter to win, doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re a greater competitor or champion. Like the great Michael Jordan once remarked, comparing one era to another era is not a realistic way to try and make an argument about greatness. But with that out of the way, let's get into it!
