MMAFRoO's video: CONTROLLER SPEEDRUNNER DESTROYS GLADIATOR - DOOM ETERNAL BOSS FIGHT

Doom Eternal current patch speedrun strats for the Gladiator Boss Fight. Using 3 BFG shots during the fight since there's 1 leftover from Mars Core and 2 being refilled inbetween Phase 1 and 2 (all of your ammo does). Finishing the fight will also refill all of your ammo including BFG. Phase 1: -Start with SSG - Precision Bolt Cycles on the staggered boss. You can make 4 cycles before gladiator recovers from the first stagger and pushes you off. Adding 1 for extra damge. - Meathook any demon to get on top of gladiator and start using movement to balance yourself on top of him (can easily slide off) and continue landing SSG shots. -Use 2nd frag to cause splatter bombs on the first summoned group of demons possibly damaging gladiator. -Use BFG whenever you run out of shells and/or fall off. Make sure to aim past the gladiator wanting the shot to splash behind him. Phase 2: -Shooting at staggered Gladiator doesn't deal as much damage as in phase 1. - Leaving a "glory kill" animation the gladiator is invincible for a few frames, which is why i use lock on bursts right after since they aren't hitscan. - Dashing into him with a chaingun shield while he's shielded up will cause him to start melee combos and make him vulnerable to any damage again. - I prefer SSG - Ballista cycles over SSG-Precision Bolt since that leaves me with a better shotgun shell count througout the count. Trying to avoid chainsawing or looking for shells on the ground in the arena because it's slow. - Chainsawing after a fired BFG shot however will allow you to acces your other weapons afterwards quicker. -Whenever certain HP percentages on him are crossed he will summon 2 different groups of summons. Keep attacking him (cyrcling to his back to not get stuck inbetween all demons) as he is not only vulnerable, but also doesn't attack directly until shortly after. -Only BFG past him when he is shielded up and without chaingun shield dashing into him you can't damage him otherwise. Use flame belch on the summoned demons before BFGs to get some armor back. Good luck. Played on Xbox Series S. 120 FPS Enabled. Nightmare dfficulty.
