MOON RAIL's video: H0 Scale: ICN double contraction -- Beautiful swiss train designed by Pininfarina

@H0 Scale: ICN double contraction -- Beautiful swiss train designed by Pininfarina
Swiss premier train ICN with speed of over 200km/h and as double traction with length of 430m shows in H0 scale. Switzerland have 66 units from Pininfarina designed train and is modified with an sensor- and active-tilt system where passenger not let get dizzy during the deviation with speed over 200km/h true curves. Roco was brought out the ICN named "Graf Zeppelin" 2011 and the second ICN named "Albert Einstein" 2012. My ICN models are modified by light and peoples in the train where gave theme a nice outlook. Roco's ICN models are well prepared for install the light with LED-strips, but not offer to buy from manufacture (!). Now, it's seam we could let the trains run, but we are far from it: It's not possible to let both train runs on double traction, because the Zimo digital decoders where roll out from Roco's stock are not comparable together! With my friend we invest many hours to find a solution. In the end we exchange the Zimo decoders from 4 trains and put two old version and two new version together. With the old Zimo decoder from last year we got an -- more or less -- reasonable result. To make an very nice increase speed as looks like original train, I work nightshift and play with CV 2-6 and CV 52-56 to bring a closed loop- and motor- control lower, to more slip between the two trains. Now, we went make same with the new decoders. The result was an shock for us. We not could really program it and in the end we not had any function of the decodes and send 4 new version of Zimo decoders to the computer chip heaven! As we could have a other set with two ICN to run in double traction, our Roco supporter open two brand new packages from last series and we install two and exact same old Zimo decoder. As an user of ESU decoders I feel Zimo is some steps behind in technology. Compare with others or even we view out technology standard in the consumer electronic market. Sorry! Roco and Zimo not place all CV's on the manual, Zimo is not readable by ESU programmer. Roco have no contact person where know well about Zimo and the decoder number is not findable. Zimo also not offer a comfortable programmer package to make it easy to configure out all options. Roco just invest a "little money" for a "little speaker" mount on top of the PCB and fixed with tape. But it have an extra space for a 23mm speaker in the motor body! Exchange the speaker and you understand what's an announcement on platform is spoken. (listen to my video). I know, I'm spoiled with apple computers and know computer since we know the name "PC"........ But should it not be, as we could simple programming the model train? With an nice graphic interface where make it easy? Should it not be, we could buy expensive model train just put it on the track and let it runs? Manufactures like Trix and Roco have to sit together on a table confirm really ONE BUS - A STANDARD and let user choose the decoder on there own option. This will make it more easy for all. Roco promises us to work on this problem with high pressure and we hope one day will come we have a dream team with both ICN's....................
