The psychiatric industry shows depression research as the largest budgetary item, totaling nearly a third of NIMH's $604-million annual expenditures. Muslims have been given the best cure, for depression 1400 years ago, however, unfortunately most of us Muslims are unaware of it. Many of the Muslim youth are flooded with depression in their lives, and since the youth make up more than 50% of the total Muslim population, thus, the Muslims in general are greatly impacted.
