Releasing this Valentine 2021. Gulshan Kumar & T-Series presents Colour Yellow Productions Pvt Ltd & Cape of Good Films Present Atrangi Re Aanand L Rai’s upcoming directorial, went on floors in Varanasi in March of last year. The team resumed the shoot of the film in Madurai in October 2020 and followed by a Delhi schedule. While the other production houses in India are on an announcement spree for the theatrical releases, the makers of this film have opted for digital release instead. According to a tabloid, the makers have decided on a direct-to-digital release for this film - on Netflix. As the Maharashtra government announced the re-opening of cinemas, the major dates until next year have been booked for tentpole releases. Thus, considering the slice-of-life drama isn't a big-ticket release, the makers of this movie have decided on the digital premiere of the movie. They are completing the formalities for the same. This marks the second digital release of Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, and Dhanush. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is also starring in another movie with Aanand L Rai, which is set for theatrical release on 11th August 2022. This movie is Directed by Aanand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma. The music for the movie is composed by maestro A.R. Rahman and the songs are penned by Irshad Kaamil.
