PR's video: Farewell Cartoon Network Shop

@Farewell Cartoon Network Shop
As of March 31st, the official Cartoon Network Shop will be closing after having operated for 20 years. This closing is likely coming after the fact that Cartoon Network has recently had a massive company restructure, and has shifted majority of their content over to the new streaming platform HBO Max. The Cartoon Network Shop opened in May 2000, and served as an extension to the Cartoon Network website to buy cool clothing, toys, and other fancy knickknacks, and even in December of 2004, they were proposing a life-sized Kids Next Door treehouse for the low price of $1,000,000. But you know what. The fact I could hop off my 1st grade bus after a long day of school, and see all that stuff there bought for me in one giant package that was literally the size of little me, was super cool to experience. I really owe it to Cartoon Network for giving me a childhood I can remember. With games like FusionFall, shows like Ed, Edd n Eddy, and toys from Ben 10. The 2000s were a wild time for TV and the internet space as a whole. I think the internet has really helped shape the way so many things are done today. Not just from a consumer standpoint but also a corporate view, when you look at what the TV networks had specifically planned to roll out throughout the years in their company network bibles/notebooks. Now that the store is closing for good, I did figure I’d pick up a couple of things, albeit not much. I picked up the first volume of The Secret Saturdays since it has exclusive deleted scenes no one has bothered to upload yet, so those will be going on my second channel. And I personally bought Alien Swarm on Blu-Ray because it has a ton of special features in high quality. I usually don’t buy DVDs anymore, but when shows aren’t legally streamable or the physical medium offers a little bang for your buck, I’ll likely cave and grab it. After all, I did essentially get rid of my old collection of DVDs. What? They were taking up space! You try harboring over 50 DVDs in your bedroom, plus 75% of the time, you’re getting completely ripped off when the DVD copies are in 4:3 ratio, whereas the actual product itself is supposed to be 16:9.
